Stress and anxiety are the most prevalent mental health conditions on the planet. Yet there remains a limited number of effective non-drug or fast-acting solutions that provide relaxation and relief. The VeRelief vagus nerve stimulation product is one of the most effective tools for quickly recovering from a stress response. But with two different models available, it can be difficult to understand exactly which one may be right for you. This article will go over some of the key features of each product and explain their differences and similarities, and ultimately help you decide which product is best for you.

Design Features
Design
- VeRelief Mini: Wireless and smaller than a car key fob, this tool was designed for people who travel often and want the benefits of vagus nerve stimulation on the go. It is small, portable, and can be used discreetly in any environment.
- VeRelief Prime: The Prime is about 2x larger than the Mini, but still smaller than a computer mouse. It fits comfortably in one hand and is easily portable and can be used discreetly in any environment.
Number of Modes
- VeRelief Mini: The Mini has 1 mode of operation that uses a 100Hz frequency signal with a specialty waveform that acts as a breath pacer to help you slow your breathing for a euphoric relaxation experience. Or simply hold the device in place without using the breath pacer and simply enjoy the soothing sensations.
- VeRelief Prime: The Prime has 5 modes of operation, each with a different therapeutic purpose.
- Mode 1: 8Hz continuous. Use this mode to stimulate the median nerve on the wrist. Median nerve stimulation is effective for helping reduce nausea or wrist pain.
- Mode 2: 25Hz continuous. Use this mode to stimulate the trigeminal nerve in the forehead. Trigeminal Nerve Stimulation is effective for helping reduce acute headache pain.
- Mode 3: 100Hz continuous. Use this mode to stimulate the auricular vagus nerve on the side of the neck to recover from a stress response or anxiety episode.
- Modes 4-5: Specialty waveforms designed to act as breath pacers, teaching you to slow your breath down and experience a euphoric relaxation.
Intensity Levels
- VeRelief Mini: The Mini has 20 discreet intensity levels with a maximum output of around 7mA.
- VeRelief Prime: The Prime has 20 discreet intensity levels with a maximum output of around 15mA.
Battery
- VeRelief Mini: The Mini has a small battery that lasts about 7 days on a full charge.
- VeRelief Prime: The Prime has a larger battery that lasts about 14 days on a full charge. Battery life varies with frequency and duration of use.
Electrodes
- VeRelief Mini: The Mini uses proprietary advanced biomaterials to comfortably deliver electrical energy to the target nerve in a comfortable manner. We recommend replacing the Mini electrodes once per week to get the most comfortable experience. However, they can be used for beyond 7 days if desired, albeit with a sharper stimulation experience.
- VeRelief Prime: The Prime uses larger electrodes with improved comfort during stimulation and a longer lasting use life (up to 14 days before we recommend replacing them). It is also MUCH easier to hit the target nerves with Prime electrodes, allowing for an overall more enjoyable experience.
Price
- VeRelief Mini: $199. Comes with 24 pairs of electrodes, which will last around 6 months with daily use or 12+ months with varying use.
- VeRelief Prime: $399. Comes with 24 pairs of electrodes, which will last around 12 months with daily use or 18+ months with varying use.

The Decision
The purpose for which you intend to use either product will determine which product is best for you. If you are simply looking for a non-drug tool that can calm you down from a stress response in any environment, then the Mini will be an excellent choice.
If you are looking for something with a bit more power, a longer lasting battery, a more comfortable and user-friendly experience, and the ability to effectively target other nerves in your body, then the Prime will be the best choice.
Overall, the Prime is the superior product. If you choose the Prime and it doesn’t work for you, then the Mini likely won’t work for you either. If you choose the Prime and it does work for you, then you’ll be happy you own the superior product.
